The Folger Stable was built in 1905 by James A. Folger II of the Folgers Coffee Family. It is listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places and was designed by Arthur Brown, Jr., famed for his work on several San Francisco landmarks including Coit Tower, the Ferry Building, and City Hall.
Due to its historic nature, pristine setting and equestrian roots the Friends of Huddart and Wunderlich Parks in conjunction with San Mateo County Parks and Recreation initiated a rennovation project for Folger Stable in 2002. It took eight years to complete, but the rennovation was a huge success and now Folger Stable is the premiere public boarding facility in the San Francisco Bay Area. Please drop by and see the fabulous work yourself!
