This concert, part of the eighth annual Pan-Asian Music Festival, focuses on the transformation of ancient performance styles from Japan, China, and Korea, featuring - ziuta, a chamber music style of samisen music, performed by Master Tosiko Yonekawa II; “Eternal Rock," performed by Jin Hi Kim, a work she composed specifically for electronic komungo; and Zhou Long’s pipa concerto, “The King of Chu Doffs His Armor,” accompanied by the Stanford Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Jindong Cai.
