Workshops are led by Zorina Wolf, founder of Village Heartbeat.
Zorina has a deep knowledge of drumming and rhythm that she has cultivated through years of intensive study. She studied drumming for 15 years with her mentor, the late Nigerian drummer Baba Olatunji.
Zorina is a dedicated drummer, drum teacher, and TaKeTiNa rhythm workshop leader from the San Francisco Bay area. She has been teaching drumming for over 12 years.
"Learning can be a magic, joyful, and powerful process that allows us to use our innate instincts and our natural abilities to explore the world around us and within us," says Zorina. "I believe in the power of drumming as an art, as a means of communication and healing, and as a way to bring harmony to a community."
Village Heartbeat brings the power of rhythm to community.
Village Heartbeat hosts community drumming and dance events, and offers drum and dance classes, concerts, and TaKeTiNa workshops in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Village Heartbeat is also the U.S. producer of TaKeTiNa concerts, workshops, and retreats in the United States.
