New GISSV San Francisco Campus located in the Presidio at 4 Funston Avenue, is proud to now be able to open its doors to students from the San Francisco area. The San Francisco Kindergarten class is referred to as the “Parrots” in honor of the swarms of parrots who chose to make San Francisco their home some years ago. Now the new kindergarten parrots can call one of the historic white officer houses in the landmark district of the Presidio their school. The SF campus of the GISSV plans to establish a K through 5 school over the next few years. The school, which is accredited by the German government, already offers an exceptional, first rate bilingual education to close to 400 students at its Mountain View and Berkeley campuses. Students ranging from preschool age through 12th grade are provided with a stimulating and challenging education cumulating in the acquisition of the German International Abitur and simultaneously the CA High School diploma. This enables them to go on to study at any of the great universities domestically or internationally and to become extraordinary members of today’s global society.
