Bodhi [boh-dee], a word meaning supreme knowledge or awakening. From the owners and chefs of La Petite Camille, we bring you Bodhi Vietnamese Cuisine at 211 Valencia. Home-style Vietnamese cooking with an influence of Thai, French, and Japanese makes a remarkable balance of spices, taste, and presentation.
Exquisite fresh rolls ranging from Peking Duck to Dungeness Crab starts a tone. Ease in with a fresh asparagus Dungeness Crab meat soup. Try the signature Filet Steamed Bass with a light crisp surface topped with a gingered light soy sauce on a bed of asparagus. The Shaken Beef consists of lean cubes of Filet Mignon, stir-fried with Bodhi's house sauce finished with a touch of lemon.
"Mom", that's what everyone calls her at Bodhi, a Chinese-Vietnamese American who escaped the war torn country in 1978. From a family of restaurant owners in Saigon, Mom now brings us the same excellent level of Vietnamese Home-style cooking. The first came in Millbrae in 1994. Even with a space of 60 seats capacity, like the opening day, La Petite Camille remains to keep a full house on most days. Now she brings us the same quality at Bodhi on 211 Valencia.
