Tartine Bakery is a small bakery & café at the corner of 18th and Guerrero Streets in San Francisco’s Mission District neighborhood, serving breakfast pastries in small batches from the oven throughout the day, hot pressed sandwiches, croques monsieur as well as pies, cakes, tarts and pastries. We serve wines by the glass from Kermit Lynch and organic Mr. Espresso coffee. Our hearth baked breads come out of the oven every day but Monday at 5pm.
When it comes to ingredients and presentation: we believe in keeping it simple. We want our cakes to look as natural as the flowers we use to decorate them, our pies and tarts and fruit desserts to change with the seasons, and our cookies to look like they're made with loving hands. But most of all, we want everything we make to taste of what was used to make it.
Our pastries are made with organic flour, sugar and local eggs. We use organic produce as much as possible and our many of our meats come from Niman Ranch. Coffee is organic Mr. Espresso and all dairy for the coffee bar is organic from Straus Family Creamery in Marin County. Our menu items are baked fresh throughout the day. Choices of breakfast pastry, cakes and tarts will vary according to season, availability of produce, and the whims of the pastry chefs.
