San Francisco, CA, September 14, 2010 – A small collective of local artists, the Rock Nation Café, and resident neighbors have secured a street closure permit for 21st Street between Alabama and Harrison on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm for the first annual Mission Community Art Fair.
The Mission Community Art Fair is dedicated to enriching the cultural landscape of the Mission area by exhibiting the works of emerging artists. We focus on the richness and
diversity of art and provide an outdoor avenue for artists to showcase their art craft within the local community neighborhood.
Planning meetings are being held at the Rock Nation Café every Sunday at 1:00 pm and artists and community members are invited to participate. Additional information about

This event is open to all Mission community artists, individuals, or group. Application forms to participate can be downloaded online at www.missionartfair.org. Fees to enter
are $5-10 (sliding scale) and equipment rental fees range from $7-$70. Download and complete an application form. Provide a brief artist statement, equipment needs, and submit an online portfolio, digital files, or print files by Friday, September 24, 2010.
