The Slow Club

Having weathered the storm of the dot-com invasion and subsequent bust, this SOMA hipster destination eatery is a true survivor. The classic Americana menu still features a great burger and Caesar salad, while also offering pan-roasted duck breast, pork chops, and seafood dishes, plus its almost legendary chocolate pot de creme for dessert. Don't count on being in a hurry here. The service can be downright lackadaisical, with the staff seemingly dressed right out of the hamper sometimes. But the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere friendly and convivial.
