Antica Trattoria

This charming and friendly trattoria is located in the lively Russian Hill neighborhood of San Francisco and is an attraction for guests from around the Bay Area and beyond. Chef-Owner Ruggero Gadaldi, a native of Bergamo, Italy, offers rustic dishes that are authentic and traditional to those found in the small towns of Northern Italy. The chef prepares regional food made from the freshest ingredients. Specialties of the house include butter lettuce with truffle vinaigrette and hard-boiled eggs, pappardelle with wild boar ragu, and mushroom dusted pork tenderloin with braised greens, ? chanterelles and sweet garlic. Side dishes include, roasted brussel sprouts with capers and sautéed spinach with toasted pine nuts and golden raisins. Desserts include pastry cream, raspberries, whipped cream, meringue and white chocolate gelato, with espresso, amaretto and hazelnut, balance this trattoria’s menu.
