About Linearis Institute
Formerly known as Masterworks Institute for Works on Paper, Linearis Institute displays its private collection of art on paper in its Maiden Lane gallery in San Francisco, California. There, the exhibition space of the Institute hosts an eclectic array of works of the last five centuries from all over the world. From the works of Masters such as Renoir, Matisse, and Picasso to captivating works of calligraphy by Mohamed Zakariya, as well as the up-and-coming painter from New York, Patter Hellstrom, the Institute’s collection spans the globe and history. Open to prospective clients and collectors, the Institute provides an opportunity for interested persons to explore art from various cultures and genres.
Founded by Suleyman Nasib-Cooke, Linearis Institute has become a major public repository for the visual arts specializing in works on paper by great Masters of the past 500 years. Linearis Institute offers a broad range of services. In addition to holding exhibitions, it assists non-profit organizations in fundraising and provides professional consultation for collectors, education in the arts, and in-house picture framing. From educational internships and fundraising support to specialized collection consultation and research, this unique variety of services allows the Institute to interact with and assist a wide range of individuals and organizations. It is equipped with extensive knowledge of art history and the art marketplace and has successfully advised thousands of collectors and many institutions worldwide.
