On Saturday, February 4, 2012, we're gonna tape our Valentine's Day Love-Fest episode live at San Francisco's beautiful Brava Theater! We'll start with a pre-show in the Brava lobby at 7pm, and then move onto the main stage for the full show at 8 o'clock!
What can you expect to see in the show? Well (aside from the usual witty banter, of course) "Tony Geronimo" will return with another sketch-y crime to solve; we'll take a look at what's goes on "Inside the Cerebral Cortex of David Higgenbottom" as he attempts to woo a Valley Girl; we'll join "Ted the Blind Guy" for "A Day at the Races;" the 915 Band's going to play some sick tunes for you to hum along to; Damien's cooking up some poetry; Cousin Liz'll serve up some advice; Texas Holly just might take off some of her clothes and sing "Happy Birthday" to an unsuspecting audience member; and, hey, there's a even a commercial for merkins (yes, merkins - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merkin )! Just to add a little pressure to the sitch, we're going to tape all of this in front of a live audience (that's you!) and stick the recording up on the interwebs for all the world to hear!
Oh, yes, we are melding forces with the Brava Theatre once again to bring you a Valentine's Day Love-Fest that you will not soon forget! Why "unforgettable," you ask? Well, before the show we'll have a 7pm cocktail hour featuring the live musical magic of The Sweet Trade (http://thesweettrade.bandcamp.com/album/pistols-and-parasols ), a sweetheart photo booth where you can take photos with amazing photographer Carrina Maree ( www.facebook.com/people/Carrina-Maree.../100002725651745 ), and the cash bar will be stocked with more booze than you can shake your fist at! Make sure you stick around after the show so you can take pictures with Drunken Cupid (Damien Chacona wielding a bow and arrow whilst dressed in a diaper) and listen to some more tunes: a great atmosphere in which all may dance, mingle, and spread mad Valentine's Day love!
This episode features the effervescent talents of: Liz Anderson, Dan Apczynski, Damien Chacona, John Flaw, Lindsay Garfield, Kirk Hamilton, Texas Holly, Joan Howard, Katie May, Daniel Nervo, Khamara Pettus, and Ignacio Zulueta!
And - as always - the party's free!
