Basic knowledge of honey bee and colony biology, and applying that knowledge to colony management, are key to successful beekeeping.

In this class, you will learn about basic anatomy and physiology, roles and lifecycle of the workers, drones and the queen; the lifecycle of the colony through the seasons; an overview of the many diseases and pests that can put a colony at risk; and sources for continued learning.

All class proceeds benefit non-profit SF Bee-Cause & Hayes Valley Farm.
