Much like a stable home, our practice begins from the ground up with basic understanding of common classes of poses and philosophical concepts in Yoga.
This series is designed for anyone who is newer to Yoga and wants to build a solid foundation from which you can strengthen and deepen in any style or direction. Each week we will focus on a given class of poses, break down alignment principles so they are easily understandable, explore common misalignments and address therapeutics for injuries. We will also bring in basic Yogic ideas such as the Yamas and Niyamas, how to work with the breath, philosophical texts to read if you are interested and foundations for meditation.
