Rev. Dr. Wright will discuss the formation of the first American black churches in the 1800’s to their present day roles in fostering community organization, political leadership, in addition to religious fellowship. The lecture will be followed by book signing of Rev. Dr. Wright’s most recent publication, A Sankofa Moment: The History of Trinity United Church of Christ.
