Sanford Dole Ensemble presents "All New -- All Local"

Four choral pieces by local composers that feature the work of local poets. "Waiting..." is written by Michael Kaulkin, setting several poems by Elisabeth Eliassen. Peter Scott Lewis has set three poems by Lawrence Ferlinghetti in "The Changing Light." Sanford Dole is collaborating with librettist Brad Erickson on a work in progress, "Gertrude and Alice." David Conte used a text by John Sterling Walker for "The Nine Muses." The program is accompanied by string quartet, piano and percussion.
