Elizabeth Andoh returns to 18 Reasons to celebrate her forthcoming and very special e-original book: \KIBŌ Brimming with Hope: Recipes \& Stories from Japan's Tohoku\. This is her culinary tribute to the Tohoku region that was devastated by earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident on March 11, 2011.
\The KIBŌ Kitchen\ is a 3-hour, cooking workshop that introduces us to the local flavors of Japan's northeast, the Tohoku. During the class, Elizabeth will combine and integrate Tohoku specialties with basic \washoku\ principles (Japan's indigenous food culture) and the no-waste approach of \kansha\ (appreciation) to teach participants how to prepare:
Kelp and Dried Shiitak
