Nina Katchadourian grew up spending every summer on a small
island in the Finnish archipelago, where she still spends part of
each year. Her work in media including photography, sculpture,
video, and sound often involves whimsical interactions with
nature, maps, and objects. She has exhibited at MoMA PS1, New
York; the Serpentine Gallery, London; and the Palais de Tokyo,
Paris. She is currently at work on a border crossing station
between the U.S. and Canada.
