About Seating Options at The Hypnodrome:
"General Admission" seats are filled on a first-come basis and we encourage patrons to arrive early (doors open at 7:30). Our "Shock Box" seats provide couples with privacy and an extra jolt during The Hypnodrome's signature blackout spook show. Winner of SF Weekly's "Best of San Francisco" Award as The City's "Best Bonus Theater Experience", these private loveseats are each individually themed as Heaven and Hell, The Pharaoh's Tomb, and The Asylum of Shock. In our "Turkish Lounge" for two, couples may bask in decadent languor and kick back among oriental carpets and silken pillows while enjoying the show.

Fresh from performances at Lincoln Center and the Howl Festival in New York City, Thrillpeddlers original Vice Palace cast returns to San Francisco with their smash hit revival, Vice Palace: The Last Cockettes Musical. This musical mind trip imagines Edgar Allan Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death" as viewed through the lens of Frederico Fellini, and topped off with truly outrageous costumes, wigs and spectacular drag queen-ery.
VICE Palace follows Divina (played by drag king superstar, Leigh Crow), an eccentric and wealthy woman who spares no expense to keep her jet-set party guests entertained, while the villagers just beyond the walls of her lavish estate are ravaged by the plague. Each performance must top the next in this bizarre race to escape the one uninvited party guest death! - and look fabulous as they do it.
Originally starring the inimitable Divine and cult star Mink Stole, Vice Palace was written by Martin Worman \& Scrumbly Koldewyn, original members of the pioneering, gender-bending performance troupe, The Cockettes. Russell Blackwood, founding member and visionary behind Thrillpeddlers and master of the macabre, directs a cast of San Francisco's most extravagant underground drag performers and divas.
