Basic Commercial Law for Retailers

Monday, Feb 13 6:00p
Age Suitability: None Specified

6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Storefront retailers sometimes successfully work with customers and suppliers without expensive customized legal contracts, but did you know that there are laws that automatically apply to close the gaps? We will survey the basics of the Uniform Commercial Code, how the typical fine print on purchase orders, bills of lading, and invoices impacts your vendor relationships, your rights as a business owner when transacting with retail consumers, and other commercial laws that often apply to your business by default. Although taught by an experienced business attorney, this program does not constitute legal advice.
