A RICH, UNCOMPROMISING MUSICAL SALUTE TO GREECE – AND THE SPIRIT OF LIFE!

ZORBÁ celebrates life – the sound of a bouzouki, the taste of an olive, the scent of a woman – but also lost love, heartbreak and death. “Live life to the fullest until it’s time to leave!” Featuring the songs: Life Is; The Butterfly; Only Love; Why Can’t I Speak?; and I Am Free.

About the Company: 42nd Street Moon celebrates and preserves the art and spirit of the American Musical Theatre. The company contributes to its evolution and continuing vitality by presenting intimately produced performances of classic and rarely performed musical works. Through their productions, educational programs, and community outreach, they are committed to increasing the awareness and appreciation of the rich heritage and cultural perspective of the musical theatre and its vast influence on the world stage. They have produced the West Coast and American Premiere by works of such legendary composers and lyricists as Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Oscar Hammerstein II, Jerome Kern, Johnny Mercer, and P. G. Wodehouse. On special occasions, 42nd Street Moon has been host to such Broadway luminaries as Donna McKecknie (Tony Winner – A Chorus Line), Cady Huffman (Tony Winner – Producers), Charles Strouse (Composer – Annie, Bye Bye Birdie), Rebecca Luker (Three Time Tony Nominee – Show Boat, Mary Poppins, Sound of Music), Andrea McArdle (the original Annie), Leslie Caron (MGM Star of Gigi, An American in Paris) and many more.
