Mystical Abyss

Inspired by similarities between a Native American Iroquois creation myth and the Japanese Izanami (Goddess of Creation and Death) and Amaterasu (Sun Goddess) myths, Mystical Abyss dramatizes the need for connection and understanding across cultures through a dynamic theatrical encounter of Native American storytelling, dance and music with the centuries-old traditional Japanese Noh theatre. This production will premiere as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival.
