Power of One celebrates a woman's $365 commitment to the Jewish Community Federation's Annual Campaign. You will have the opportunity to make your commitment to the 2012 campaign at this event. First time donors age 35 years and under will have an opportunity to make a commitment of $180 to the 2012 campaign at the event.

Keynote Speaker: Geri Palast, Managing Director, Israel Action Network
Geri D. Palast served for over five years as Executive Director of the Campaign for Fiscal Equity (Cfe), the leading school finance reform organization in New York State. During her tenure, Cfe won the final Court of Appeals decision in the landmark litigation establishing the constitutional right to a sound basic education for all public school students in New York State and ordering the state to provide the necessary resources and accountability to achieve these results. <!--[if gte mso 9]>

<![endif]--> The Israel Action Network (Ian) is a strategic initiative of the Jewish Federations of North America, in partnership with the Jewish Council for Public Affairs to counter the assault on Israel's legitimacy.  The Ian was created to educate, organize and mobilize the organized North American Jewish community to develop strategic approaches to countering these assaults and develop innovative efforts to change the conversation about Israel and achieving peace and security for two states for two peoples.
Women's Philanthropy (WP) of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund is an empowered and socially conscious community of inter-generational women who are inspired and engaged through the Jewish traditions of tzedakah (righteous giving), and tikkun olam (repairing the world) while building community. The group's volunteer, social, educational, and fundraising events provide women the opportunity to connect, develop leadership skills and financially support the Jewish community both here and abroad. WP is led by a volunteer Executive and Regional team, in partnership with our dedicated professional staff.
