Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson's The Fifth Season opens this program, followed by a world premiere work by internationally renowned choreographer Edwaard Liang (named by Dance Magazine as one of the "Top 25 to Watch"), his first piece created expressly for SF Ballet. The program concludes with Jerome Robbins' Glass Pieces, set to a driving score by Philip Glass that captures the pulsating rhythm of city life.
