Founded in Philadelphia in the early 1950s as "The Charlemages," the group changed its name to "Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes" in the 1960s. They recorded several hits on Gamble & Huff’s Philadelphia International label between 1972 and 1976. Despite group founder and original lead singer Harold Melvin's top billing, lead singer Teddy Pendergrass was their most famous member. In 1975, the group was joined by vocalist Sharon Paige. Harold Melvin's Blue Notes will sing all the greatest hits.
