Sajj Restaurant, a charming neighborhood barbecue house that offers a variety of traditional Middle Eastern dishes, such as Falafel, Shawarma Kebabs, dips and salads. The expansive menu also includes specialty platters prepared from scratch, using fresh, high quality ingredients. We are the only Middle Eastern restaurant that uses a wood burning grill in North California. Sajj (pita) being cooked on a "sajj"the iron dome shaped "pan" that is used to cook the aforementioned sajj bread on. It is placed over a source of heat, traditionally a wood fire, and the dough is placed on it. <pSajj has two meanings in the Oriental cuisine :the Lebanese name (also called "markouk") for a form of bread used mainly in Arabic cultures; it is commonly compared to a pita bread known in Mediterranean cuisine.
