Katie Herzog combines art and disjunctive librarianship through a cross-disciplinary practice engaging knowledge, narrative, and information culture. Her warm, playful paintings combine weaving, painting, and mixed media to comment on the object, language and symbols of human communication. Herzog's solo exhibition has been curated from works made over the past 10 years. She has been an artist-in-residence at Whittier Public Library since 2007 and is the Dir. of the Molesworth Institute.
