gallery/shop/art space is produced by Oakland based creative firm Betti Ono in association with Rockwell Creative Projects and Hip Hop Is Cool Again. An ongoing art and community development project that activates non-traditional venues and vacant spaces with art, culture and community, SMSHBX features the vibrant voice of local, national and international emerging artists in rotating exhibits and presents a variety of multidisciplinary arts and entertainment experiences in contemporary urban settings. Shows and experiences reflect a range of media: fine arts, photography, design, digital, sound, theatre, literary, film, and performance and new media.
