The Hillside Gardeners of Montclair present their 2011 Garden Tour “The Ups and Downs of Hillside Gardening, “ Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 11am-4pm. Eight fabulous Oakland gardens, one more than an acre, plus a tropical garden, a recycling showroom, a collector’s paradise and a garden with yards and yards of purple mulch! Each garden recycles and reuses materials – old pavers, rainwater, branches, rebar, you name it! Event takes place rain or shine.
