Explore the World of Tofu with Hodo Soy

Plan to join us on Tuesday, February 21st from 6:00 to 9:00pm at Hodo Soy Beanery, 2923 Adeline Street in Oakland, for an evening of tofu exploration. The night begins as we fill our tummies with a spread of Hodo Soy's wonderful food while Minh introduces us to the tofu making process. Then, enter the Hodo Soy factory (where yummy eats are produced each day) and make your very own block of tofu!.
You will leave the workshop with their freshly made block of tofu, and everything you need to make tofu at home: two bottles of soy milk, coagulant, and the optional tofu pressing. In addition, you get a goodie bag of Hodo Soy's products, not to mention the dinner which, by the way, will include Minh's famous Nama Yuba, a 'young' version of tofu skin that is creamy and rich, currently only sold to Bay Area restaurants, it is guaranteed to be like nothing you've tasted before!
\Please Note:\ In order to make tofu during the workshop, you will need a tofu press. SFEB has negotiated with the tofu press manufacturer to get the tofu press, made with cypress wood, at a discounted price of $18 each. You are also welcomed to bring your own tofu press if you already own one. You can also come to the class without a tofu press and just watch Minh demonstrate the steps to making tofu at home. \ Please select "Price with Tofu Press" ($80 total) to order a tofu press with your purchase and "Price Without Tofu Press" ($62) if you don't need one. If you are going to share a tofu press with another participant, please process the order separately and only select the "Price with tofu press" for one of the participants.\
