Register now for the first-ever Seiu 1021 Member Convention. This convention will be an opportunity for elected delegates, guests and 1021 members to discuss the major plans and projects of the union for the next two years, to learn new skills, and to meet and network with members from across our local. The convention will be held at the Hilton Oakland Airport, 1 Hegenberger Road, Oakland, Ca beginning on Saturday, February 11 at 9:00 a.m. and concludes on Sunday, February 12 at 1:00 p.m.   Please plan on attending the convention in its entirety. All members, whether elected as delegates or not, are urged to attend and take advantage of the workshops and discussions that will be open to all. Travel Costs: Elected delegates will be reimbursed for travel costs in accordance with the 1021 Member Travel Expense Reimbursement Policy. Non-delegate 1021 members will be responsible for their own travel costs. Hotel Rooms – Delegates: Seiu 1021 will provide lodging for those delegates who register by January 25, 2012.   See below for policy on hotel room costs for guests who are not delegates.   A credit card is required from everyone with overnight accommodations at the Hilton Oakland Airport. Friday, February 10 : Those delegates driving 75 miles or more one way may have lodging on Friday night, double occupancy only. Those wanting their own room, which will be based on availability, must pay $50 plus tax upon arrival to the hotel.  
Saturday, February 11 : All delegates attending the conference may have lodging on Saturday night, double occupancy only. Those wanting their own room, which will be based on availability, must pay $50 plus tax upon arrival to the hotel.
Hotel Rooms – 1021 Non-Delegates Members : Non-delegate members will be responsible for their own hotel lodging at the reduced group registration rate of $99/night double occupancy plus tax.   Please make reservations by calling the reservation department at the Hilton Oakland Airport at (510) 635-5000.   Please use code EIU.
Guests are responsible for their own travel costs.
Meals:   Food will be provided for all delegates and member guests who are registered.   Registration Deposit: All participants must register in advance. Anyone who is not an elected delegate must pay a $50 refundable deposit.   Deposits will be refunded to members who attend the conference or cancel their registration at least 5 days prior to the convention. The deadline for cancellation is by Monday, February 6 at 4 p.m. The registration deposit for online registration must be paid by credit card.
