Workshop Presenters: Doug Paxton was the founding program director of the Presidio World College MBA in Sustainable Management. He has worked in the public, nonprofit and private sectors, starting as an operations research manager for a New York stock brokerage firm before attending Yale University's School of Management for an MBA. Since that time, Doug has worked in the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Business and Economic Development and as the executive director of Indochinese Housing Development Corporation. He was also director of people and organizational development at Business for Social Responsibility before joining Presidio World College. He completed his Ph.D. in Transformative Learning in 2003.
Ken Otter has over twenty-five years experience as a facilitator, educator, and consultant with individuals, small groups, and organizations in academic, public service, not for profit and business settings. For the past 15 years, he has taught adult students in both graduate and undergraduate programs. In 2005, Ken became Program Director of the M.A. in Leadership at Saint Mary’s College and founder of the Leadership Center. His research interests include leadership development, collaborative group work, transformative learning, and participatory forms of inquiry. Ken’s educational background include, counseling and organizational psychology, communication, and adult development and learning.
