Marin Poets in the Schools Benefit Reading

Marin Poets in the Schools is proud to announce an exciting evening of performance poetry with spoken word artists from throughout the Bay Area, featuring Global Justice Poet, Drew Dellinger, Performance Poets, Kim Rosen, Claire Blotter, Blake More and Mendocino County’s Poetry Out Loud winner, Xochil Goetsky for an annual fundraising event. Hosted by Terri Glass, the evening also includes a number of super talented students who will read their creative work, including with song interpretations by Singer/Songwriter Scott Kalechstein.

A wildly inventive reception beforehand includes a human poetry jukebox, the wonderful work of Silvi Alcivar who types inspired poems on demand with her Royal Red typewriter, photos opportunities in the famed Marin Poetry Chair, a fabulous raffle, scrumptious hor d’ouvres, and a chance to browse all the poetry books and anthologies from the performing artists and California Poets in the Schools.
