Welcome to Gaumenkitzel!
When we moved to the Bay area 15 years ago, we soon found ourselves missing the traditional, home-cooked recipes we loved in Northern Germany.
We made it our mission to offer seasonal European-style comfort food made with the purest ingredients available.
Freshness is our mantra. We culture our own yogurt, hand-flake the oats for your morning musli, and mill the wheat berries for our bread and pastries daily. All sauces, spreads and bakery items are made entirely from scratch.
We hope you enjoy our cozy environment. It’s a place to gather with friends, family or children and know that you are being served authentic, wholesome meals crafted with inspiration, love and care.
