Spring Mansion

The 12,000-sq.-ft. Spring Mansion was built in 1912 for John Hopkins Spring, owner and developer of most of what became Albany and North Berkeley, including Thousand Oaks.

The mansion, designed by architect John Hudson Thomas, was modeled after Empress Elisabeth of Austria’s Achillion Palace in Corfu.
