A 100-seat lecture/performance space, the Albert Elkus Room, 125 Morrison, features a small stage, raked seating, built-in audio and video capabilities, and a lovely view of Faculty Glade to the north.
Performances in the room include the student-run Morrison Concert Series usually on Mondays/Fridays at noon, as well as special department events such as end of semester improvisation and jazz concerts, performers from world cultures, events by the Young Musicians Program, and occasional master classes.
Lecture series, such as the Bloch Lectures and the Composition Colloquia, as well as regular music department class offerings are also held in the room.
