Shorebird Park, situated along the southern shoreline at the Berkeley Marina provides great views, the fascinating Shorebird Nature Center, picnicking sites, and children's play areas. Features: *Multi-purpose turf area *Children's play area featuring disabled-accessible playground equipment for both tot and school-age children, including swings, and climbing apparatus. *Picnic areas with BBQ. The park picnic sites are small and limited to groups under 50 only (Ord 6579-ns). Groups with more than 50 should use Cesar Chavez Park or other sites. *Drinking Fountain *Hiking/trails *Marina vistas; great views south from South Sailing basin *Shoreline area with beach *Shorebird Nature Center , which features classes for all ages with exciting hands-on experience learning about San Francisco Bay ecology; a 100-gallon bay aquarium; a "Please Touch Me" table and other wildlife displays. *The Marina Experience Program provides education, recreation, and entertainment through presentations, classes, and workshops, and the Berkeley shoreline clean-up and adopt-a-beach program. *Adjacent to Adventure Playground, Cal Sailing Club, and the Cal Adventures Facilities
