Historic residence site of the Nakazawa family, whose grandson was the late activist and Black Panther Party co-founder Richard Aoki, in pre-WWII south Berkeley, who inspired Jill Togawa and Purple Moon Dance Project to create a site-specific multidisciplinary work paying tribute to the interrupted dreams of the Japanese American community who were forcibly removed in 1942 to internment camps.
