Isaac Albéniz’ IBERIA

This cycle of twelve musical portraits of Spain is both a technical tour-de-force and an interpretive challenge for the performer. For the listener, it is like an art gallery of vivid Spanish landscapes.

Albéniz uses traditional dance rhythms including jota, polo and fandango along with imitations of flamenco guitars, gypsy music and church bells.
