Known as the leader of the first American team to summit Annapurna I in Nepal, Arlene Blum played a leading role in more than 20 successful mountaineering expeditions, including climbs of Denali and Everest. She is also the founder of Green Science Policy Institute. Arlene will share stories and photographs from her celebrated memoir, “Breaking Trail: A Climbing Life”, and from recent adventures both in the mountains and in her scientific and policy work.
