Music Director Joana Carneiro leads Berkeley Symphony in a rousing season finale, taking the audience on a spellbinding journey to Hungary. The program features Bartók’s well-known masterpiece, Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta, and Kodály’s vibrant and passionate Dances of Galánta. The luminous soprano Jessica Rivera returns to Berkeley, and along with the award-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus, joins the orchestra in a highly-anticipated world premiere of Gabriela Lena Frank’s new work, Holy Sisters.
