The Gold Coast Grill, located just over the Park Street Bridge in historic Alameda, and only five minutes from Oakland Airport, is the first and only restaurant in the island city to feature Greek cuisine. In addition to wide variety of appetizers, salads, pastas, steaks, seafood dishes and their popular rack of lamb, the Gold Coast presents house made delights such as Moussaka and Souvlaki.
Owner Christos Marras is a long time East Bay restaurateur. Christos opened and operated La Grenouille in Oakland from 1979 to 1987, a favorite continental dining spot. After a brief hiatus from the business, he started to "get that old itch" again in 1992 and began to shop for a place to realize his vision. His eye found the building at 1901 Park street, a space that had been occupied by various eating establishments over the years. Christos believed, with it's intimate interior, central location, andle parking, that it was a diamond in the rough waiting to be discovered. A deal was struck, and the Gold Coast Grill opened it's doors for business in June 1992. The Gold Coast Grill offers a full bar, a very private banquet room and the friendliest wait staff. So stop by and see for yourself. We promise you will be satisfied.
